I have to admit that it has been VERY weird being alone in the house tonight. Not sure I liked it very much. The novelty wore off after about 5 minutes! You can't beat the ability to actually interact with people!
I am just glad that I got a chance to talk to Toni on the phone (even if we were both flagging a bit).
Roll on tomorrow. Sam will be back, Toni and Aaron will be here and maybe Sophie will put in a rare appearance!

Motor Show pics
Early start............
... but not for me LOL
Toni headed off by 06:30 this morning and took Sam with her as he is staying over at her mum's with Aaron tonight and then coming back with Toni tomorrow. Am sure the boys will have a great time playing console games with Jamie (Toni's brother)
House will be weird tonight with just me in it (as I am assuming Sophie won't be home). It will be nice for about 5 minutes and then I'll think its too quiet.

Deep Purple at the Excel (& British Motor Show)
Had a bit of a change from the norm tonight as Toni and I went to see Deep Purple at the Excel. My friend Amanda had some freebie tickets to the gig (and they also granted entry into the British Motor Show) so we kindly accepted them.
When we arrived (having met up with Amanda and family and got our tickets) we went and had a jacket potato and then browsed around the Motor Show. I'm not really into cars but it was quite fun and I wouldn't mind being able to spend a day at the show. There would be lots of lovely pictures of cars posted here but unfortunately I managed to lose my camera between havng a coffee and getting to the arena to see Deep Purple which was a real bummer.
Deep Purple were actually pretty good. With a few newer tracks they also played all the classics like Black Night, Space Trucking, Strange Kind Of Woman, Highway Star and of course Smoke On The Water.
Having last seen Deep Purple back in 1987 (I think) where Ritchie Blackmore didn't even bother coming out for the encore it was nice to see this line up onstage and obviously really enjoying themselves with no personnel issues in a Blackmore free environment.
Thanks to the magic of mobile phone I did manage to snag these (not great but they'll do):
Toni and I just after entering the arena:

I guess the pruple lights are a clue the band are due on!

Toni

Old, loud and proud:

We then headed back to North Greenwich and drove back to SWF for a much needed sleep (and this was probably the earliest night we've had in weeks LOL)

WTF? How f***ing stupid is this!
Superdrug are about to start stocking make up "for men". The range will include "GUYLINER" and "MANSCARA".
Christ on a bike, if a man is comfortable enough to wear make up then let's not try and make it all macho by giving it a new concept. It is STILL make up, trying to make it masculine with stupid branding doesn't make it any less make up!
Here's what the Telegraph had to say:
If I wasn't such a gobby mare I'd say that words fail me!
It will be much more expensive than the "traditional" product just like Gilette's razors for women are more expensive............ *sigh*

Here's what the Telegraph had to say:
'Guyliner' - which is thicker than normal eyeliner to make it easier for men to grip - will appear on shelves in Superdrug this week, along with 'Manscara'.
Later in the summer a concealer and lip balm will be added to the range, called Taxi Man.
The company's director of trading Jeff Wemyss said the make-up is not for drag acts, but for masculine men who want to enhance their features.
He highlighted the comedian Russell Brand and pop star Robbie Williams as famous 'red-blooded' men who have not shyed away from a spot of eyeliner.
He said: "These days you can be macho and wear make-up. Men are more obsessed with their appearance than ever before. There is no longer any pain in being seen to be vain."
The products may also be bought by women for their partners, added Mr Wemyss.
The cosmetics' creator Peter Kelly said: "We've developed essentials any guy would borrow from his other half.
"It's about subtle make-up rather than wanting to create the drag queen look."
Male grooming is a booming market and according to business analysts Mintel, the UK market is worth £700m annually and is predicted to grow to £820 million next year.

The underpants that would not die!
Bands are like buses, you wait for ages and then two come along!
Looks as if Jeff Lynne's Underpants could still be registering on the heart monitor. I am meeting Dren and Rene tonight for a drink so we'll see if the rise of JLU is still a possibility. I could end up being a very busy boy at this rate!

I Hate Kissing You Goodbye
Baby, Times are changing I see it in your eyes
So why do we keep on pretending, why do we even try
My heart is like an open book
Won't you read between the lines
And show me, show me, show me everything's alright
I hate kissing you goodbye, whoa ohh oh ooooh
I’ve heard it all before, and I know for sure
That it won't heal with time, Baby
I hate kissing you, kissing you goodbye, whoa whoa yeah
Maybe, the things we shared were never meant to be
Our love is like a heart attack, and it's slowly killing me, yeah
If you can taste the pain I know or
The way I feel inside
Then show me, show me, show me everything's alright
I hate kissing you goodbye, whoa ohh oh ooooh
I’ve heard it all before, and I know for sure
That it won't heal with time, (it won't heal with time)
No matter what I do, or what I say, no matter how I try, Baby

Blast from the past
Had a most unexpected friend request on Facebook last night. Steph's niece Anne added me and sent me a message as she was trying to get hold of contact number for Steph and doesn't talk to the rest of the family. Of all the people least likely to have got in touch with me it was Anne. Just have to wait and see if its OK with Steph for me to pass on her mobile number now.
Meh, grumble grumble!
Had a totally crap night last night. It was way too hot and I only managed about 3 hours sleep :o(
Felt sick when I woke up and almost phoned in...............but didn't!
Am going to have to invest in some fans to cool the place down, god I'd love to have one of those ceiling fans in the bedroom again!

Dinner, paperwork and late nights!
Toni made a gorgeous stir fry to go with our jacket potato and tuna. I started doing some tidying up and a much needed sorting out of paperwork (BIG mistake). After dinner I had piles of paper coming out of my ears and they still haven't all been put away, but I am getting there. The kids started playing Rock Band and before we knew it it was gone 23:00 and Toni had to leave (despite all the kids protesting that they didn't want this to happen, including Sam). So after a cup of coffee they finally left and headed back to Eltham.
The Sunday night thing still sucks..........

Dungeons and Dragons
After a quick snack Sam assumed the role of Dungeon Master and led Toni, Gemima, Aaron and I on an epic adventure through two levels of Dungeons and Dragons. Although the board game is nothing like the old role playing game it was still great fun and nice to do something together.
The Lidl things are great!
After the car oil change we went to Lidl to pick up a few much needed supplies to tide me over until pay day (Thursday).
I do love Lidl, it is so cheap without compromising on quality.

All change
Up early today and showered to take Toni's car over to Shane's to have an oil change. We got there at 10:30 as requested and Shane's mum made us a cup of tea before going to work. We say in the living room talking to Sophie and Shane while Gemima and Shane's nephew and niece played together. The mechanic had popped out to get some bits to fix Fi's car. This took "slightly" longer than expected and it was about three hours later that he returned and things started to happen. He drained the oil to reveal that there was probably about a litre in the engine (which strangely enough was about how much Toni had put in recently). The dipstick hadn't even been registering that there was oil in there at all. We suspect that when the service was done they had drained the car and either forgotten to refill it or only put in a bare minimum. Toni is very lucky her car didn't give up the ghost months ago. Luckly no harm was done and it is now running quite happily on 4 litres of oil with a dipstick reading to reflect this!

Showers and candles
After a lovely refreshing cool shower it was time for bed. Toni had lit all the candles in the bedroom. It looked fabulous and it was nice to just lay there in each others arms watching the flames flicker and the shadows dance across the walls and ceiling.
Fast Show, snoozes and Spanish chicken
When we got in we all plonked oursleves down in front of the TV with cold drinks and watched some episodes of The Fast Show. It was too hot though so Toni and I went and had a little siesta. It was lovely to drift in and out of sleep and hear Sam, Aaron and Gemima all playing together and getting on well. It was even better to be woken up by Sam to find out that he had cooked us Spanish chicken. He was adventurous though, took a jar of cook-in sauce and added his own herbs and spices to spruce it up a bit and the results were fantastic. He really is turning into a pretty good cook.
Southend promoting with the Vendetta crew
We all went down to Southend to meet up with Cat and some of the other Vendetta/Evolution people to do some club promotion and hand out flyers to try and increase the crowds.
The car journey there was long and painful as everybody in the world seemed to want to go to Southend. It was all too much for Aaron:

When we finally arrived (including some much need and excellent directions from Ric) we congregated at the Odeon cinema and started handing out flyers. I had planned on taking some photos but never really got a chance to. There was some people from Starbucks dressed as Banaman and Wonder Woman handing out free smoothie samples which delighted Gemima. She did enjoy it despite the look on her face!:

We went from one end of Southend High Street to the other (detouring to a great little shop called Dead Glam where Toni picked up a fabulous skirt and Aaron bought some goth/emo fingerless gloves). Eventually the kids got hot and hungry (plus we had to shoot off to get Toni's car looked at) so we stopped and had some chips before heading off to Chelmsford. Luckily we hadn't got too far before Sophie sent me a text saying that the car wouldn't be done today but tomorrow morning so we just headed back to SWF.

Lunch and grooming
Quite a busy day today. Started with getting ready and Gemima having to be bathed and creamed due to some very bad (but impressive looking) sunburn.

Next came a light lunch mainly comprising of leftovers from last nights BBQ. Next up was the much needed application of hair dye for my as I was showing some serious roots! Sam and I then both had our hair straightened before we all got ready to go out.

Different night for a change
Got home from work to find that Toni, Aaron and Gemima had already arrived. Toni suggested that we have a BBQ at some point over the weekend but the weather wasn't looking great so we decided to have it there and then. One trip to Asda later and we had the coals burning and a lovely meal was cooked on a glorious evening. It was so nice and such a pleasant change.
Following that we slipped into the usual bad habits and watched the Big Brother eviction!

Car playing up
Toni's car is playing up and we are hoping and praying that it will be a quick fix and nothing expensive. She is getting it looked at by one of Shane's friends on Saturday.
If the car goes then it will have awful implications on a) our usual weekends together and b) our trip to Swanage in August.
Fingers crossed it won't be anything serious!

Things You Don't Want to Hear a Chaos Magician Say
- With some slight modification I can make it better.
- Anyone seen that talisman of mine? I seem to have misplaced it.
- Parsons was a wanker--- Watch this!
- Now it's time for the triple invocation of Loki, Coyote, and Baphomet.
- Help!
- What you don't know can't hurt you, right?
- Don't worry, everything's under control.
- I know what I'm doing.
- Trust me.
- Hastur, Hastur, Hast---
- Oops
- No, I planned this, honest!
- I'm glad you asked...
- But the *theory* is sound.
- Yeah, but you should see the other guy.
- But if it's already dead, how can it be a sacrafice?
- Now if only I had some bungee cords.
- Then Cthulu showed up.
- I really wish I had some chalk right about now.
- Everybody needs a hobby, right?

How do you tutu?
Hazel is doing some modelling on Friday but she was sadly lacking in the tutu department. Strangely enough your truly has a couple of tutus so offered to lend them to her. She popped round after work tonight and borrowed, my old faithful, my naughty shorty, plus a skirt that I got cheap that I can't quite fit into yet! Hazel will probably have to pin them a bit but at least she has something to work with now.
Was good to have a quick catch up and see that she is doing well. Her medical issues are nowhere near as bad as she thought and she seems so much happier now she has put Ed, her ex, well and truly in his place.
Whilst drinking tea it was amusing to see her reading texts from Dan saying that Iz had just thrown up in the car twice! Bad news is that now she is home she is still very poorly. Get well soon Iz!

Dropping the boy off!
Toni came over tonight to drop Aaron off for the rest of the week (as Sam had invited him to stay over).
Was lovely to see them both again so soon!
Had a bolognaise for tea and then watched Pirates Of The Caribbean 3 and slowly drifted off to sleep.
Hopefully it won't be too long before we can seriously start thinking about doing things so that we don't have to be apart during the week ;o)

Open up and say AAAARRRGGHHHH!
Poor old Sam had two of his teeth extracted today as part of his ongoing orthodontic treatment. Not nice to have a tooth pulled but two on the same day, OUCH! He seems to have survived it well enough to be able to shout, "If that's dad, tell him to eff off" when I rang Sophie to check that it went OK!
Happy Birthday Gloria

Message From Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth
Thee Temple strives to end personal laziness and to engender discipline. To focus thee Will on one's true desires. In thee belief, gathered from experience, that this maximizes and makes happen all those things that one wants in every area of L-if-E.
Explore daily your deepest desires, fantasies and motives, gradually focusing on what you would LIKE to have happen in a "perfect world", a "perfect situation", taking away ALL restrictions and "practical" considerations. What you would REALLY want.
Then decide to try and do it.
Thee mere visualization of that true goal, your true Will, begins thee PROCESS that makes it happen.
Clean out thee trappings and debris ov compromise, ov what you've been told is reasonable for a person in YOUR circumstances. Be clear in admitting your REAL desires. Discard all irrelevancies. Ask yourself, who you WANT as friends, if you need or WANT to work, what you want to eat, what sexuality you REALLY need to pursue. Check and re-check everything deeper and deeper, more and more precisely to get closer and closer to, and ultimately, integrate with, your real SELF. Your INDIVIDUAL. Once you are truly focused upon your SELF internally, thee external aspects ov your L-if-E will fall into place.
THEY HAVE TO.
Skeptics will say that they simply don't believe this Psychic PROCESS works. But it does.

Water balloon fight!
Gardening!
Some bright spark decided that he would get up early today and do some gardening! Got both bits of grass out the front of the house cut and strimmed. Toni and I then did a mega blitz on the jungle that is the back garden and it is looking very nice now. Still more to do but we made an excellent start!

Stir fry
We had a lovely stir fry for dinner tonight, and Sophie had a jacket potato as she doesn't like Chinese food. We watched some of Kill Bill Vol 1 before retiring to bed early as we were knackered (probably the marathon Monopoly session couple with too much dancing last night)
Monopoly
Promised Sam that we would play some family games this weekend and he opted for Monopoly. It was a bit of a marathon session with the game lasting over 3 hours. Aaron went bankrupt and Toni and I both conceded as Sam was cleaning up so he won by default (and we also realised why they are called board "bored" games as this one went on FAR too long)

Arizona at The Lodge
Toni, Sam, Aaron and I went to The Lodge to see Arizona play tonight. Was lovely to see Tracy and Bev again (and great that they got to meet Toni).
The band were cooking as usual, great entertainment and the usual catalogue of great tunes.

Ooooops...
.... looks like I have upset Kat!
Was supposed to be forming a "function band" with her and we had a rehearsal scheduled for tomorrow with a drummer and guitarist. After much soul searching this week (and probably aided by the fact that I have my home recording studio working now) I realised that the function band thing is not really where I want to be musically at this moment in time.
Decision was only really made today and Hazel said that I needed to tell Kat sooner rather than later so I did. Seems Kat now has the serious hump and isn't talking to me anymore! I did point out that there was no reason why she couldn't still go ahead and rehearse tomorrow with the guitarist and drummer as they can still carry on and do the band without me but she never replied.
I didn't want to upset but had to be honest as well, I didn't want to commit to something that I didn't personally believe in doing so bailed out before it was too late. Will be a real shame if she stops talking to me altogether but in the end it's her loss and not mine although I wouldn't like our friendship to end on a sour note.

Shhhhh, musician at work!
YAY!
I have finally got part of my home recording studio up and running and have started laying down the first parts of one of my songs. It feels so good to be able to final record it all at home and I can't wait to finish a song!
Happy days!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Grrrrrrrr. Bloody jumpers!
Just got a text from Mike Babb saying the trains are shot to shit due to a fatality at Harold Wood. Went to catch the usual 07:58 train but it was cancelled and the next one is not until 08:40 and will only be four carriages, oh joy! On the plus side if I actually get on it I'll be straight to Shenfield rather than having to change at Wickford. Such a pain in the bum, if you want to check out early please find somewhere to do it that doesn't have an effect on everyone else!

Midweek visits!
I love midweek visits!
Toni came over after work today which was nice. Lots of chatting between all of us and then Sam went and put his foot in it and upset Toni. Think they sorted it all out but it was pretty unpleasant at the time.
After that we sat down for bolognaise and watched Kids In The Hall. Then we indulged in ice cream straight from the tubs YAY!
Toni and I both managed to fall asleep during Big Brother and so it was an early night for us when the kids woke us up!

The way that I want you
I gotta have you
Oh yes, I do
You know I never
I never ever stay out late
You know that I can hardly wait
Just to see you
And I know you cannot wait
Wait to see me too
I gotta touch you
Cause baby well be
At the drive-in
In the old mans ford
Behind the bushes
Till Im screamin for more
Down the basement
Lock the cellar door
And baby
Talk dirty to me
You know I call you
I call you on the telephone
Im only hoping that youre home
So I can hear you
When you say those words to me
And whisper so softly
I gotta hear you
Cause baby well be

Traci Michaelz Memorial Show
Helping the boys in blue
Oh it's been such a fun packed day off today. Following on from my oh so pleasurable trip to the hygenist I then had to shoot off to Shenfield to meet an office from Lothian & Borders Police to hand over some evidence and give a statement. This wasn't any real hardship as I knew I would have to do this at some point as I'd been talking to them for some months now. Was a bit suprised to hear that I might get called to verify the evidence in court if required though, although I won't complaim about having to make a trip to Edinburgh.
Amusing moment was seeing his face though when we popped into Holland's cafe and they refused to take his Scottish £10 note, he was seriously not amused!
I gave him an Egnlish £10 and now have his Scottish one in my wallet to try and get some poor unsuspecting retailer to accept, it is legal tender after all.

YuK! Had to go and see the hygenist today. It was NOT fun. Hygenists are NEVER fun. I hate all that scraping and digging about and making things bleed! To cap it all I have a bit of a potential problem brewing so have to go back again in 4 weeks :o(
That will be £94 quid spent on 1 hours work over 2 trips. That's the other reason why I really hate dentists, becuase it isn't on the NHS and costs me money GRRRRRRRRRR

Extra caravan for Swanage
YAY, my mum is an absolute superstar. She has booked and paid for an additional caraven for the second week in Swanage so that it will be possible for Shane, Toni, Gemima and Aaron to come and stay too. So nice of her to do that and everyone is really excited about it now!

Sundays are for.......................
Toni started the morning writing a long email to her solicitor (with minor input from me) asking for advice on the fact that Nick has made plans for his brother to come and stay "short term" when it was pretty clear that there was no real timescale involved and all it would be would be muddy the waters and delay any chance she might have of selling the house as part of her divirce.
After a bit of a lazy start we got up and Toni made us all a wonderful big breakfast of sausages, bacon, cheesy scrambled egg, mushrooms and toast. It was SO yummy and VERy filling too but a nice treat for all of us.
Made some significant changes today. Following on from my chat with Toni in the week I moved the large picture of Sharon from the bedroom to the living room so that everybody can see it, much to Sam's delight. Toni and I then had much fun arranging and putting up the small collection of naughty pictures that I had recently bought in the bedroom. Big grins all round which can only be a good thing!
Wow! Toni brought a huge piece of beef with her on Friday and she made a massive roast dinner tonight. It was gorgeous, succulent beef covered in rosemary and roast potatoes and vegetables.
Watched V For Vendetta while we ate dinner. I love this film. The message is so simple and conveyed in an excellent manner.
"Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof."
In the interest of procrastination, Toni helped me write a PR for the Capitals regarding ticket price increases, something I new would need to be portrayed sensibly. It was a good PR although the fans still haemorrhaged as expected LOL
Toni, Aaron and Gemima didn't leave until gone 23:00, not that I am complaining as I love it when they are there, just a shame they have to go at all......

Vendetta time again!
I love the second Saturday of the month as it's time for our trip to Vendetta. Can't beat the fun of getting ready, Toni and I both floating ideas on what we are going to wear, what make up and hair style we'll go for. That part is almost as exciting as the club itself.
As usual we had a really good time, getting to meet and know more and more people there. Neil and Sam have invited us along to Club Rub, Devil's Playground and also to Xpo 2008. Quite looking forward to going to some of those nights!
Was nice to get a free drink from Rex and then another one as we were leaving when Dave thought I was asking for another when I was waving goodbye LOL
Tart!

Kung Fu Panda
Toni and I took Gemima, Aaron and sam to see Kung Fu Panada in Basildon today armed with sweeties, popcorn and drinks. It's a fun film, you don't have to think too hard and the jokes just keep coming. Jack Black as usual is awesome.

Friday frolics
Toni managed to get away early today and was at home before I got back so it was nice top get in with her already waiting!.
We popped off to Asda to get a few bits. I couldn't believe it, whenever we go to Asda we also seem to see Emma there. I had sent Dren a text earlier in the day about whether or not Jeff Lynne's Underpants was continuing. I saw him in Asda so started talking to him (and he confirmed that JLU would be continuing once he has cleared the 250 servers out of his living room that he bought "by mistake". Was quite amusing as Emma came along and put her arm round him but he didn't reciprocate so I wonder if that was for my benefit! Not sure why she thinks I'll bat an eyelid at things like that but she seems to want me to think that her and Dren are an item when other elements suggest otherwise.
Dinner was two dishes; turkey mince pasta and seafood pasta of which I had both and they were yummy scrummy!
We then indluged in saddo city and caught up with the happenings in Big Brother and watched Mario get evicted.

Been a long week
*phew*
It's been a long week and I am glad that the weekend is finally here. Been a real rollercoaster but at least I know where I am headed now and the future is looking very rosey!

11 weeks 3 days...........
Now what on earth is he waffling on about you may well ask!
Well the answer to that is that Sophie had her scan today and the baby is 11 weeks and 3 days old. She has to go back on Monday for another scan but all is well and baby has a strong heartbeat.
So there you have it, I am going to be Grandad Glitz and here's the proof.........

Sorted things out
Toni came to stay last night. When she arrived she looked as though she didn't really want to be here. I knew why, having a bit of a rollercoaster ride the past couple of days. We had already talked about a few things that were going on and causing issues but I had reached a point where there were things that I needed to tell her.
Thankfully they were just what she wanted and needed to hear and I feel like our relationship has taken one massive step forwards and I myself have also evolved and moved on emotionally.
Things are rally starting to look VERY positive for the future

Big thank you
A very big thank you to all the people that have got in touch today:
Tracy Skingley
Gloria Ashmore
Tracy Braddock
Sandra Slater
Paul (from THF)
Sue
Heather Jepson
Sarah Young
Hazel Marchant
Kathryn Ferraby
Tracey Wardill
Angie Jones
An extra bit thank you has to go to Toni Scott though. Not only has she been my rod and support for the past year but she also has to "fade" into the background occasionally which must be really really hard. I am sorry that today hasn't been a great one for you but your support is the best and without you I would have fallen a long time ago!

Sophie still in hospital
Sophie is still in hospital. Seems she had a really bad asthma attack, worse than those the other week. They have had to give her magnesium and she has been on oxygen most of the day. She is waiting to see a consultant before they decide whether or not she'll be allowed out today. Really hope that they can get this cracked as she must be really fed up of hospitals!
Sharon Gloria Ashmore - Gone But Never Forgotten

It is totally unbelievable that a year has passed already. Sharon was my world, my be all and end all. She gave me the most amazing 18 months of my life. We did so much in such a short time and all of it was good. I miss her so much. I shall just have to look back on my memories and cherish them and use them to take me onwards through life.

Gone But Never Forgotten

Gloomy Shadows
I watch you when you're sleeping
I softly touch your skin
I can't believe that you are here with me
I never let you go
Everything feels so unreal...
So perfect and so new
You promised me that you won't hurt me
Why can't I believe?
Tell me why I feel uncertain
And put my trust in you
I'm hiding behind the wall of doubts
Unable to break free
Nothing good will last forever
Another broken dream
I'm too weak to change the future
Even if you're here with me
Another dream will turn to dust
I can not change my destiny
I am damned to fight alone
Against these gloomy shadows
I'm diving in this bloody ocean
I'm surrounded by my fear
No light will ever touch me
In this world of agony
Tell me why you feel uncertain
Put you're trust in me!
You are hiding behind the wall of doubts
But I can set you free
This pain won't last forever
I know this is our dream
Together we can change the future
As long as you are here with me
Another dream will turn to dust
I can not change my destiny
I am damned to fight alone
Against these gloomy shadows
I'm diving in this bloody ocean
I'm surrounded by my fear
No light will ever touch me
In this world of agony
Don't be afraid, this is our future
Trust me when I say
We will be together
I will always guide your way
Another dream will turn to dust

The Risk Of Love
The Risk of Love
by: Kris Hydmore
There is a risk involved in everything
Every time you share a smile
Every time you shed a tear
You are opening yourself up to hurt.
Some people tread slowly through life,
Avoiding the closeness risk brings,
Sidestepping the things they can not understand
Turning away from those who care too much-
Those who care stay too long,
Those who hold too tightly.
There is never an easy way to love
You cannot approach it cautiously
It will not wait for you to arm yourself.
It does not care if you turn away
It is everywhere, it is everything.
Love is the greatest of all risks.
It is not reliable, it is not cautious,
It is not sympathetic
It is unprejudiced and unmerciful.
It strikes the strongest of mind,
And brings them to their knees in one blow.
Even in the best of times, love hurts.
It hurts to need, it hurts to belong,
It hurts to be the other part of someone else,
Without either of your consent.
But, from the moment it overtakes you,
It hurts worse to be all alone.
The risk of love never depletes;
It grows stronger and more dangerous with time.
But, it is in the total surrender of all defense,
That we, no matter weak or strong,
No matter willing or captive,
No matter what, we truly experience love.
Despite the many things love is not,
Outweighing it all are the things that love is.
Love is surrender without a loss.
It is a gift without the cost.
It consumes your every thought and desire,
Every breath you take.
It is the fire that fuels you
To do more than pass through life;
It urges you, instead, to live.
No matter the outcome, having felt love,
You will never be the same.
It may scar your heart and soul
And leave you only memories of forever.
Or, it may cause every day of your life
To feel like there is no need for tomorrow.
But, love is worth it. It is worth the risk...
For in all of life,
Love is truly the only risk worth taking.

Stuck in a void
Didn't get to bed until 03:30, just kept doing stuff to avoid having to go to bed and then wake up today!
When I did wake up it was like I was in a void, a complete absence of emotion. Not sure what I had been expecting but it certainly wasn't that!
Seems I had prepared myself for feeling awful and mentally my brain circumvented all that. The emotion is slowly coming through now and I am trying to get through the day.
Just to compound things Sophie is back in hospital again!

Bracing myself
Spent a lot of the weekend and most of today bracing myself for tomorrow. It's weird and I really don't know how I am going to be. Was going to book the day off work and then decided that I might be better off trying to carry on as normal and just deal with anything else as it happens.
Big thanks to everybody who has show me support over the last couple of days, thank you for being there for more (this list is by no means exhaustive so don't take offence if you aren't mentioned):
Gloria Ashmore, mum, Angie Jones, Tracy Skingley, Toni and Hazel

Twat!
A very silly phone call between Toni and Nick resulted in me having to leave the room in anger before I opened my mouth, the bloke is ridiculous. Turns out he even confessed to recording it half way through and was trying to goad Toni into saying things.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Dinner with the Doctor
When we got home Toni made a rather yummy chilli style dish which we ate whilst watching the awesome finale to Doctor Who. Daleks speaking German....how cool was that! It was a great ending to the series and it's a real shame that we'll have to wait until 2010 for series five (although we have got 4 specials to look forward to before then).
Slow and easy times
Woke up nice and refreshed and feeling human again with a lovely view of the sea. Toni's nan made us sausage and bacon for breakfast before we headed out to check in some items in the garage. After that we popped out to Tesco to get a few essential items.
We then decided to pop round to the closing down record shop to see if it was still open. There was hardly any parking and I was all set to head back when Toni decided we'd just park up and walk back to the shop. It was open and now everythign was reduced from £1 to 50p so we ploughed through the record sleeves looking for some more fun items to make a "music wall".
We picked up Prince Charming by Adam & The Ants, Anthem by Toyah, Asia and Journey ones with some great fantasy art covers plus a few more, ten in total, a right bargain. It's just a shame the place will probably be closed by the time we go back again.
We then rushed back to Toni's nan's for cold meat and salad lunch and then settled down and watched some Federer v Nadal at Wimbledon (despite Toni wanting to leave early).
We had to tear ourselves away for the drive back home again. Toni's nan called before we got back to tell us that rain had stopped play again!

The Puppini Sisters in Bexhill-on-Sea
Getting ready:

Thankfully this time round there was no camp DJ playing songs before The Puppinin Sisters hit the stage. Instead we were treated to a band called The Brute Chorus who played a wonderful mix set of eclectic garage songs. It was all quite energetic and I'd love to see them playing in a small venue somewhere. Not sure what Toni's nan made of them though, not quite what she had expected to see LMFAO!

Toni and her nan:

Then came The Puppini Sisters who were as wonderful as ever. No costume changes this time unfortunately (and I was so hoping to see those stockings and corsets again!) It's good to see they throw in little bits that make each show just slightly different.
A couple of women in the front row got up and started dancing during one of the songs (which was funny for about five seconds) but nobody seemed particularly impressed. Thankfully when they went for round two later on one of them bottled it so we weren't subjected to it again!
This was a special night for The Pupppini Sisters as the guitarist and drummer were playing their last gig before defecting off to their own band.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside
After a quick chat with Gail (Toni's mum) we jumped back in the car and headed off to Bexhill-on-Sea to visit Toni's nan as were taking her to the theatre to see The Puppini Sisters. After a quick freshen up Toni and went for a walk on the beach and Toni did a spot of paddling before we went back for a gorgeous roast beef dinner.
What the butler saw............
What the butler saw............
Heading back
After a cup of tea we walked back to Wimbledon station. We stopped off at a restaurant called Coal as we both though food might help us a bit. Was really looking forward to my jack potato with tuna and mayo until it arrived and the tuna/mayo was also teeming with sweetcorn (which I am not a big fan of) so I ended up picking at mine rather than tucking in!
When we got to Waterloo East station I bought a couple of bags of caramel Snack A Jacks to make up for my sweetcorn disappointment. By the time we got back to Eltham I was busting for the loo and when we arrived at Toni's mum's there was nobody home! Thankfully she was only round the corner and was on her way back or there would have been a terrible accident.
Was nice to have a quick chat with Toni's sister Leanne (who I hadn't met before) even if she did say that Toni and I looked like brother and sister. Now that would get people talking!
When we got to Waterloo East station I bought a couple of bags of caramel Snack A Jacks to make up for my sweetcorn disappointment. Too much wine!
Did I say lots and lots of wine was drunk? Too much wine was drunk! Heads from hell for both Toni and I when we woke up. Had to resort to lots of water and painkillers.

Stephanie's party
After work I scooted off to North Greenwich to meet Toni. We then drove back to her mums where we dropped off the car and then caught the train from Eltham to Waterloo. Once we got there we nipped into Marks & Spencer to get some water and yummy parsnip crisps to keep us going. We then jumped on the next train to Wimbledon and then got a taxi to dad's house.
On the train:

We were met by Joy and her friend and where led out to the garden with large glasses of wine. It was a quiet sort of party but lots and lots of wine was consumed and some lovely food was eaten. We had the delights of Joy and friend doing a performance for us all (much to Ned's total disgust). More wine and then when everyone else had gone we went inside and sat around telling really BAD jokes before going to bed LOL.

Busy, busy, busy
Yes it's bedlam at work again with so much to do and nowhere near enough time to do it. I have no doubt that we'll be going critical mass once again come mid-August when your next release is due!

Sophie is OK
sophie is OK and out of hospital now (even though they discharged her AGAIN without any medication but were confident she's be OK and that she could just pick up her prescription later).
As for me, I'm shattered. Have phoned in to work and am going to bed to try and catch up on a lot of missing sleep and de-stress a bit.

Here we go again.........Sophie
Just had to call an ambulance for Sophie. Her asthma started getting bad again at 03:00. She was discharged yesterday with no extra drugs to support her so she made an appointment with her GP for the afternoon but they were running an hour late so by the time she was seen all the chemists were closed and she still had no drugs.
As is sods law it all started up again and she had nothing to combat it and is now headed towards hospital again. Needless to say I now feel like crap again and am in a state were I can't really go back to bed. Not sure I'll get away with another day at work using caffeine to try and get me through so might have to phone in today.

The Decline Of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years

Just managed to buy a copy of this cult classic on DVD from eBay. The years flooded back as I re-lived watching the cringe worthy antics of various LA rock stars and fans.
Big thumbs up to Ozzy for being entertaining (even if the whole spilled orange juice thing was fake). Lemmy conducts himself with dignity whilst Chris Holmes of WASP just looks a complete and utter tit getting trashed in his swimming pool and embarrassing himself, and his mother who was pool side.
As for the fans, oh the fans. What fun they are. One part that sticks out in my mind from this absolutely hilarious documentary is when they asked one guy "what happens if you don't make it?". His answer was 'I know I will, but if we don't then I'll just die'!!! Oh dear, bet he really regrets saying that.. LMFAO!
Get well soon Angie
Just found out my friend Angie is in hospital (and will be for a while) with suspected C-Diff and low blood pressure. Bless her, she is such a star, she got her friend to MSN me to let me know as she knew that Sharon's anniversary was next week and to tell me that I can call or text her while she is in hospital.
My friends really amaze me sometimes!

A flat stomach
A little boy walks into his parents' room to see his mom on top of his dad bouncing up and down. The mom sees her son and quickly dismounts, worried about what her son has seen. She dresses quickly and goes to find him.
The son sees his mom and asks, 'What were you and Dad doing?'
The mother replies, 'Well, you know your dad has a big tummy and sometimes I have to get on top of it and help flatten it..'
'Your wasting your time,' said the boy.
'Why is that?' the mom asked puzzled.
'Well when you go shopping the lady next door comes over and gets on her knees and blows it right back up.'
Taxi for K.T.Glitz....................

Crashed out!
Well that's a little bit better. Got in from work at 18:00 and nobody was home so I went to bed to see if I could grab a little sleep. Ended up crashing out completely and woke up at 21:00 so a much needed 3 hours catch up was grabbed, YAY!
Bit of a surprise
Just before I left for work this morning I had a quick flick through the South Woodham Focus magazine and found a memorial dedication to Sharon from the "family". It was nice to see but I was kind of surprised that nobody had mentioned that it was happening. It was written in a way though that I felt it applied to me as well so I wasn't upset or feeling out on a limb.
It's hard to believe that it's almost a year now................

Sophie's OK and I am knackered
Phew, Sophie is fine and has left hospital and is now at Shane's.
I have had a bout 45 minutes sleep since my last blog entry and now I am shattered. About to make STRONG coffee and have some Bonkabix (on Toni's advice that I should eat something). Will haul my sorry ass into work and hope that I can make it through the day OK

They say these things come in threes
Ack! Guess that makes me three!. Sophie has just been taken to hosiptal with really bad asthma. I feel so helpless. Wish I could have gone to the hospital with her but Sam had fallen back to sleep and with it being less than a week until Sharon's anniversary I just don't think that I can face going to Broomfield hospital at the moment.
I am so tired and feel really sick, probably a combination of being knackered, the heat and worry :o(

So now I'm wide awake, eyes straining, feeling like crap and waiting for news
